Domaine de l'R is a natural wine estate in Cravant-les-Coteaux, Chinon, founded in 2007 by Frédéric Sigonneau. After training at Domaine Baudry and gaining biodynamic experience in Spain, Frédéric returned to his family's land and converted it to organic farming. The estate spans approximately 8 hectares, primarily planted with Cabernet Franc, with a small addition of Chenin Blanc. Farming practices are organic, with hand-harvested grapes and minimal intervention in the cellar. Fermentation occurs in raw cement vats, with gravity used for all movements, and sulfur is added only when necessary. The wines are expressive and pure, reflecting the unique terroirs of Chinon.
