Miguel Ledesma, a familiar face in our shop every Saturday, brings his passion for the world of winemaking directly to you. Known as a "bunter Vogel" (colorful bird), Miguel's vibrant personality and enthusiasm are infectious. A Zurich native with a strong background in gastronomy, Miguel has recently embarked on a new journey as a winemaker, working alongside the renowned Tom Litwan in Oberhof, Aargau.
Transition to Winemaking
Miguel's journey began in Zurich's vibrant culinary scene. He co-founded the Maison Manesse restaurant and worked in several other prominent restaurants. Transitioning to winemaking, Miguel joined forces with Tom Litwan, Michael Broger, Besson Strasser and Stefan Herter—respected figures in the Swiss wine industry known for their innovative methods. At Litwan Wein, Miguel is involved in producing wines that reflect the true essence of the terroir.
Current Endeavors
Miguel's wines, such as the Piquette On Y Va, are gaining recognition for their quality and authenticity. His wines, including the Petillant from Chasselas and the fresh and easy-drinking orange wine from Müller Thurgau, are also available in our shop.
