Domaine Jean Louis Tribouley

Languedoc-Roussillon, France

Jean-Louis Tribouley is a benchmark natural winemaker based in the rugged hills of Latour-de-France, deep in the Roussillon region of southern France. Farming around 10 hectares of old vines rooted in schist and gneiss, Tribouley has quietly built a cult following for his soulful, unmanipulated wines that channel the wild beauty of the Agly Valley.

Working entirely by hand and following organic and biodynamic principles, Jean-Louis treats his vineyards like a living ecosystem—no synthetic inputs, low yields, and total respect for the natural rhythms of the land. In the cellar, he relies on spontaneous fermentations, minimal sulphur, and no fining or filtration, allowing each cuvée to express its own unpolished vitality.

The results are pure, energetic wines that hum with southern warmth and tension—often Grenache, Carignan, and Syrah blends—marked by dark fruit, spice, minerality, and a sense of place that feels both raw and refined. Jean-Louis Tribouley stands as one of Roussillon’s most authentic voices, crafting wines that are alive, textural, and deeply connected to the Catalan landscape.
