Eduardo Torres Acosta
Sicily, Italy
Born in 1982 in Tenerife, Eduardo grew up immersed in his family's winemaking tradition. Driven by his passion for the vineyard, he enrolled in Agricultural Engineering and continued his studies in Enology. A few years later, his curiosity to explore new territories and collaborate with other producers led him to Sicily.
In 2012, he participated in the harvest at Arianna Occhipinti's estate, and a year later, he began working as an oenologist at the Passopisciaro winery, drawn by the volcanic terroir. In 2014, he commenced his work of revitalizing leased vineyards on the north side of Mount Etna. In the same year, he bottled his first vintage.
Today, he cultivates 4.7 hectares spread across 9 vineyards at various altitudes and contrade. Eduardo continues to restore old vineyards, primarily cultivated using traditional bush-trained vines. The winery now emphasizes the importance of ongoing dialogue and collaboration with other producers, as well as the exploration of different territories and grape varieties.
