Un Saumon Dans la Loire
,
Un Saumon Dans la Loire is a natural wine project founded by winemakers Marie Thibault and Frantz Saumon, based in the Loire Valley, France. Marie, originally from Azay-le-Rideau, began her winemaking journey in the early 2000s after training in biology and oenology. She worked at François Chidaine's estate in Montlouis before establishing her own domaine in 2011. Frantz, who started his estate in Montlouis-sur-Loire in 2002, brings a background in forestry and experience with Christian Chaussard of Domaine le Briseau. Together, they produce wines under the "Un Saumon Dans la Loire" label, focusing on organic farming and minimal intervention winemaking. Their portfolio includes a range of whites, reds, rosés, and pét-nats, crafted from grape varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Gamay, Grolleau, and Romorantin. The wines are known for their purity, expressiveness, and a distinctive, grounded character that reflects the unique terroir of the Loire Valley.
