Tasting Notes: The first vintage of this single-vineyard wine, grown at 700 meters above the sea on Monte Portella with northern exposure. Due to the quality of the vintage pressed for the first time. Arenaria is a mineral rich sandstone formation with marl, quartz and light clay. Here Eduardo leaves the volcanic soil into an area which among the locals is called the "White Land." Planted with 90% Nerello Mascalese and 10% other local varieties, some of which are over 70 years old. 20 days without Temperature control in concrete vats carefully macerated and fermented. Further aging for 11 months in 500 and 600 liter tonneau, as well as concrete vats. A Nerello with a lot of depth and complexity that will still need some time. will need some time. Very angular, fresh, tart and some tannin. The red-fruited, mineral nose is promising and shows the potential of this terroir wine.
Tasting Notes: Over 13 different grape varieties that grow together. The grapes are harvested and vinified together. Almost forgotten grape varieties such as Furmint and Heunisch come to life in this wine. The different degrees of ripeness of the grape material make this wine so diverse. While with "aromatic grape varieties" such as Muscat or Riesling, precision is sought, this is not the goal with this wine: you will find Golden Delicious apple notes, quince, a certain hay aroma in addition to floral notes (which probably originate in Furmint). This exciting wine is carried by a harmonious acidity and an almost salty minerality.
Tasting Notes: Hand picked fruit, left to sit overnight to cool down, crushed and
de-stemmed the day after into open fermenter either wood or stainless. After a
few days of maceration when the cap rises Lapo start plunging daily from once a day
up to 4 times in middle of the fermentation.
Drained off to press when bone dry, usually after 4 weeks on skins. Lapo does combine free run and pressings.
Racking of the wines happens at least couple of times in between the pressing off and the completion of Malolactic fermentation before the entonnage happens.
Only neutral barrels are used.
The wines are made with no addition of selected yeasts, malo bugs, copper
sulphate, fructose, tannins and the sulphites are kept to a minimum.
BAROLO del Comune di La Morra is a blend of two excellent crus Bricco
Rocca and Fossati , which are spontaneously fermented in open fermenters. Despite the hot July and August vines were not stressed and the fruit conditions were
excellent, picked early in October. This Barolo shows pure fruit
character, great depth and beautiful tannins, an absolute beautiful expression of the Nebbiolo grape.
Tasting Notes: Beautiful balance between tension and complexity. The nose, deep and complex, reveals buttery aromas. The attack, ample and fat, then lets express a superb minerality very typical of schist soils and beautiful citrus notes reminiscent of candied lemon.
Tasting Notes: On the nose, earthy notes dominate, with dark cherries, herbs and a bit of iron in the background. On the palate it's savory and quite rich, but very juicy and not heavy. A rustic red wine that is fun but not funky.
Tasting Notes: Intense red color with purple hues. In the nose, there are ripe cherries, a touch of almond and a little cinnamon. It’s not too sweet, though, thanks to a leafy, peppery note in the background. On the palate it is immediately pleasant and juicy, with a nice fresh acidity and a minerality to contrast the sweet fruit.
Tasting Notes: Ruby. The Nose Is Expressed With Hints Of Red Fruits And Delicate Notes Of Violet. On The Palate It Is Soft And Full-Bodied; The Tannin Is Fine And Velvety And The Persistence Is Excellent.
Tasting Notes: Blanc de Noirs of the historical Fleury's maison is a Champagne which contains in just one sip vigor and elegance. A Pinot Noir vinified in purity according to the precepts of biodynamic agriculture composed of at least 25% of reserve wines that give the glass that typical and unmistakable trait of the domaine of origin. Freshness and refined fruit on the nose, give way to an intense, refined and beautifully fragrant sip.
Tasting Notes: Direct vertical pressing. Fermentation completely with native yeasts in open concrete vats. No use of SO2 before setting.
Aging in barrels on fine lees for 8 months. Bottling, if possible, without fining or filtration. Maximum SO2 addition of 30ppm at setting
Taste characteristics: The Brézème terroir gives this Roussanne a particular character and elegance, often expressed by a touch of salinity (like certain Arvines from Valais). An absolutely enticing and delicious wine.
Tasting Notes: This Champagne Brut Ullens is the first Cuvee produced by Domaine de Marzilly which consists of a blend of 56% Meunier, 37% Chardonnay and 7% Pinot Noir. The base harvest from the year 2015 and with 42% of 'vin de reserve'. The vinification takes place exclusively in oak barrels during 36 months on its own yeasts.
With the dosage of 4gr. /l. this champagne is an extra brut. On the nose this champagne has floral hints which evolve into yellow fruit in the glass. On the palate it is bright, exciting and complex.
Tasting Notes: Rich and classy, precise and sustained, spices, exotic and candied fruit, it reveals itself full and pulpy in the mouth, keeping elegant and balanced thanks to a great acidity and iodine traits.
