Aphros Wine is a pioneering biodynamic estate in the Vinho Verde region of northwest Portugal, founded by Vasco Croft in the early 2000s. Based in the Lima Valley, the estate combines family heritage with a holistic approach to viticulture, cultivating Loureiro, Vinhão, and other local varieties on granitic slopes influenced by the Atlantic climate. Winemaking blends tradition and innovation: granite lagares, amphorae, and spontaneous fermentations sit alongside modern facilities, with no fining or filtration and minimal intervention. The resulting wines are fresh, mineral, and expressive of terroir, ranging from classic Vinho Verde styles to experimental natural cuvées under the Phaunus label.
