Malibran

Veneto, Italy

Malibran is a family-run winery based in Susegana, in the hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, Veneto, Italy. Led by Maurizio Favrel, the estate farms roughly 14 hectares of vineyards on clay and calcareous-clay soils, benefiting from cool Alpine breezes and gentle Adriatic influences.

Working primarily with Glera for Prosecco, alongside smaller plantings of local varieties such as Incrocio Manzoni, Boschera, Raboso, and others, Malibran emphasises hand-harvested fruit, organic and biodynamic practices, and minimal intervention in the cellar. Fermentation is often spontaneous, with extended lees contact for texture, and wines are bottled with little to no added sulphur, unfiltered, and unfined.

Their wines are celebrated for freshness, minerality, and vibrancy, from structured Rive single-vineyard Proseccos to textural Col Fondo expressions. Malibran exemplifies the essence of Conegliano’s hills: sustainable, artisanal, terroir-driven, and deeply connected to the land—a true reflection of the region’s character and heritage.
