The groundwork had already been laid by their parents. In 1999, Agnès and René founded Domaine Mosse after owning a wine bar and bistro in Tours. Taking charge of the estate since 2014, Sylvestre and Joseph officially assumed control of the Domaine in 2018.
Before that, they roamed:
Joseph, the eldest, studied wine retailing in Suze-la-Rousse, then went on to harvest and vinify at Bruno Duchêne's in Banyuls for several vintages. He pruned vines with Yvon Métras, spent a season in Denmark for sales, a few months at Aux Deux Amis in Paris for service, and six months in Chile to learn about winemaking abroad.
His standout feature: a finely tuned palate that dazzles everyone in blind tastings!
Sylvestre, on the other hand, completed a BPREA apprenticeship in Beaune under Frédéric Cossard, followed by harvests in South Africa with Craig Hawkins. He then worked in London restaurants at Terroirs and in Paris at Chateaubriand.
