Nicolas Réau is a natural winemaker based in the Anjou region of the Loire Valley, France. Formerly a professional jazz and blues pianist, he transitioned into viticulture in the early 2000s. In 2002, he acquired a vineyard in Sainte-Radegonde and established Le Clos des Treilles, focusing on organic farming and minimal intervention winemaking. His estate spans approximately 7 hectares, cultivating grape varieties such as Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. Réau is known for his commitment to producing wines with minimal sulfite additions, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes and terroir to shine.
