Tasting Notes: Organically farmed Furmint is hand-harvested, de-stemmed and crushed. It ferments with indigenous yeasts in a stainless steel tank. After three days of skin-contact the grapes are pressed and the resulting must continues to ferment. When it is done fermenting, the wine gets moved into large barrels, where it stays on the fine lees for a year. Before bottling, the wine undergoes a gentle micro-filtration and has a small amount of sulfur-dioxide added to it for stabilization.
A gentle nose of acacia flowers and herbs, underlined by some light fruity notes. On the palate it is juicy and complex, with strong minerality and a well incorporated, zippy acidity. The slightly salty finish is accompanied by faint citrus and pineapple notes.
