Tasting Notes: Blaufränkisch from 60 year old vines, spontaneously fermented and 4 years in wooden barrels on the yeast - a natural wine evolution! On the nose pencil, elderberry toast, juniper and laurel, fine animalism (no contradiction), leather. On the palate a powerful texture with lots of extract from the old vines, yet cool and elegant, dense but not opulent, a great mouthfeel, the acidity balanced and perfectly supported by the tannin, sour cherries with a bit of black pepper in the finish, only minute toasty notes.
