Tasting Notes: Rot N°8 is produced from twenty years old vines planted by Franz Strohmeier when he bet on the adaptability of zweigelt and Blauer Wildbacher to climate change, today he can say he produces a great wine. Fermented spontaneously in stainless steel without temperature control in contact with the skins for four weeks, after a period of maturation the wine is bottled without filtration, clarification or the addition of sulfites. Intense ruby red. Notes of orange and white pepper are perceived on the nose, followed by hints of black cherry and a subtle smoky note. On the palate the wine has a juicy texture thanks to the acidity and the right amount of structure. Elegant tannins and remarkable persistence, commendable balance.
