Tasting Notes: Les Essarts celebrated its debut with the 2018 vintage. From young vines - planted in 2010 - from a small 0.22 ha single vineyard of the same name, with Silex infused limestone soils. Matured in 300 litre and 600 litre barrels. The bouquet reveals inviting aromas of grapefruit, quince and preserved lemons, along with fine buttery, toasted notes of almond brittle, honeycomb and mineral flint character characterised by the terroir. Beautifully full-bodied on the palate, yet fresh with well-supported acidity and a fine saline touch on the finish.
